Our graduate programs cover 5 disciplines: Pure Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, Applied Mathematics and Bioinformatics.
In addition, School of Mathematical Sciences has established and continues to develop formal exchanges with a number of institutions internationally. A joint degree program between Nankai University and The University of Melbourne was initiated in 2010, which offers double master degree in Applied Mathematics & Actuarial Science.
Academic Requirements
To qualify for a master's degree, all students are required to: (1) get a minimum of 33 credits. Specialized course requirements are set by individual departments (Students from abroad, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan should refer to the related rules and regulations of Nankai University); (2) publish research papers in domestic and foreign academic journals; and (3) fulfill all the academic requirements in no more than three years and a half. The normal time for completion of the master's program is three years.
