The School of Mathematical Sciences and Ping An Property & Casualty Tianjin Branch held a school-enterprise cooperation exchange meeting

    On December 14, the School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS), Nankai University and Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company, Tianjin Branch held a school-enterprise cooperation exchange meeting in the company. Lijing, associate dean of the SMS, Lu Tongfei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and associate dean of the SMS, and other representatives of the SMS came to the meeting. Li Jianyun, secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of the company attended the meeting.

    Li Jianyun, firstly welcomed the visit of the teachers and students of the SMS, and expressed optimism about the development of mathematics + finance and the prospects for cooperation between the two parties. Li Jing, associate dean of the SMS, described the profound relationship between Nankai Mathematics and Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance, and introduced the application of mathematical expertise in the field of finance and insurance. Lu Tongfei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and deputy dean, hoped that in the future, the cooperation with Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company, Tianjin Branch will continue to be deepened. While creating more internships and job opportunities, we will further improve the training path of students, advance student career planning, and enhance students' comprehensive ability.

    Subsequently, the two parties exchanged in detail the situation on the demand side and the supply side of talents. Liu Xiufeng, data project manager of the company, shared the content, functional positioning, and construction results of the company and the team; Jia Sheng,Youth League secretary, introduced the historical evolution, development status and a series of achievements of Nankai Mathematics. Jia Sheng also sorted out the scale, structure and career selection of the 2022 graduates.

    It is reported that since the SMS and Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance signed a school-enterprise cooperation agreement in 2019, the two parties have cooperated closely in personnel training, theoretical teaching and practicing. Through this exchange, the leaders of the two parties have fully communicated on the follow-up joint training of postgraduates, small-scale joint competitions, data modeling project research and other in-depth cooperation projects. Through the platform building and think tank cooperation, the theories and practice combination of the SMS will be enhanced while the data management and talent reserve of the Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance will be facilitated.
