12 Nankai students win awards for the Chinese Mathematics Competitions

The final of the 11th Chinese Mathematics Competitions (CMC) was held on April 17 in Wuhan University. All of the Nankai contestants have won prizes, with 4 first prizes, 6 second and 2 third, which hit a record high for both the number of contestant and prize.

 

CMC is issued by Chinese Mathematical Society, which contributes a great deal to the reform of the national higher math education, arouses the interest of students and picks up talents. The competition includes the preliminary contest and the final. For the final this year, there are 605 contestants from 204 universities around the nation. The number of the prizes is 120, 187 and 241 for the first prize, the second and the third respectively.
